The Planning Process:
What planning did you do and why?
We all took individual roles in our preliminary task.

How well organised were you?
We were organised slightly, however we could have been a lot more organised, this way the 180 degree rule would not have been broken.

How could you change next time?
If I was to complete this task again, I would write down the directions and make sure the actor and actress knew exactly what they had to do when preforming.

The Video Production:
We should have filmed the preliminary task in a quite location because there was background noise on our film. We made some mistakes during the film such as breaking certain rules.
What did you do, does it work, do the edits (match on action) work well?
I think the match on action did work well when incorporated into our film. We did break match on action once, this was when George walked in without a suitcase and then he had a suitcase when he sat down.
Have you stuck to the 180 deg rule?
We filmed a shot reverse shot, we then filmed the scene from the opposite side, which then broke the 180 degree rule. From this we have learnt how to properly film the rule.

Are the shots & angles well framed (rule of 3rds)?
In some shots the focal object is not here and in other shots appears, for instance, the mug is out of view in part of the clip.

Does it look convincing as a conversation?
Yes it does, the actors maintained eye level contact and the shot reverse shot made the conversation even more convincing. We filmed a shot reverse shot so that the audience is able to see the conversation clearly.

What would you change to improve it?
To improve our preliminary task, we would make sure the 180 degree rule and match on action was carried out correctly. The cam scenario era was very shaky in certain sections of the film. A tripod should have been used in this. The framing could be improved as the vital objects were sometimes either out of view or not framed correctly. The background noise was an issue as it was at times hard to hear the dialogue, to improve this, I would have editing out the background noise.

Overall -  how well have you completed the preliminary task?
I think the task turned out ok but a lot of improvement are able to be made. We will take into consideration what we have done wrong and will correct this when doing the final task. We carried out a shot reverse shot efficiently. however we should have added more techniques into the film. We brought props along which included a fake gun, a briefcase and a mug.
